History

Fantasy Indycar was created in the 2011 Indycar Offseason after a culmination of ideas by Commissioner Matthew Hickey, as well as co-founders Mathew Gruenholz and James Alban. Starting in the 2012 season, Fantasy Indycar has grown from a small idea into one of the most competitive, exclusive, and fun Fantasy Indycar leagues around. The friendships made and the intensity of Fantasy Indycar makes it a great league for all. Between hardcore Indycar fans, novices to the sport, and even professional drivers, including current driver Conor Daly and past Indycar driver and Le Mans champion Martin Plowman, Fantasy Indycar has something to offer to everyone.

As the fifth year of our league closes, we look towards the future at making Fantasy Indycar as fun and intense as possible for our passionate field of great people. We thank those who take the time to take part in our league, as it would not be possible without a great group of people devoting time to watch our favorite racing series in the world: the Verizon Indycar Series. Thanks to all who make it possible. Remember to join the conversation with #FantasyIndyCar.
